Christian Podcast for Men | Real Men Connect

The weight of being a man is heavy; and it’s even heavier when you’re a Christian, husband, father, and the spiritual leader of your home. The pressure to provide, lead, and hold everything together can feel overwhelming. Dr. Joe knows, because as the son of a 16-year old mother, and a survivor of physical and sexual abuse, he grew up without a strong father figure, he made mistakes, and he hit rock bottom before he truly understood what it meant to be a real man—one who leads with faith, integrity, and purpose. That’s why he started the Real Men Connect Podcast —because no man should have to figure out or do life alone. If you’re a husband, father, leader, or just a man trying to live out your faith in a world that constantly challenges your manhood, this podcast is for you. What You’ll Get Each Week: Tactical, No-Fluff Teaching: Every Monday is the “Real Men Check-In,” where Dr. Joe breaks down and shares practical, biblical wisdom in a short, power-packed episode designed to help you step up as a godly man, lead your family, and build a legacy of faith. High-Impact Expert Interviews: Every Wednesday, Dr. Joe sits down with some of the world’s leading Christian men—pastors, authors, coaches, and thought leaders in faith, family, and Christian manhood. His guests have included Gary Thomas, Montell Jordan, Stephen Mansfield, Jim Ramos, Jarred Lopes, Larry Hagner and other powerhouses of biblical manhood. Dr. Joe distills their wisdom into actionable takeaways so you can apply their insights immediately. Why This Podcast? Dr. Joe isn’t just another host—he’s a man who’s been tested, broken, and rebuilt by God’s grace, going from rags to riches to ruined to redemption. He’s worked with thousands of men, all over the world, as a spiritual coach, mentor, author, and speaker, and he knows firsthand that no good man can ever become a great man without the help of Godly men — his marriage strengthens, his children thrive, his work flourishes, and his faith deepens. The Real Men Connect Podcast was created to give men help, hope, and healing in the areas that are hurting them the most. The world doesn’t need more passive, confused, or disengaged men; it needs real men—men who connect in brotherhood with other men, and lead with courage, faith, and love. So, are you ready to step up? Are you ready to stop surviving and start thriving as the man God called you to be? Then let’s go! Subscribe to the Real Men Connect Podcast and start your journey to biblical manhood today!

Larry O’Donnell, former President of Waste Management and the first leader featured on the CBS network hit television series, Undercover Boss, has a wealth of wisdom to offer in business and leadership. But he also has a personal story to tell, one that involves a tragic accident that left his daughter Linley physically and cognitively disabled.

Despite his life-long Christian faith, Linley’s accident drove Larry deeper into his relationship with Jesus and helped him become a better leader and ultimately Waste Management’s remarkable recovery, one of the greatest corporate turnarounds in history.

From these experiences, Larry discovered five key characteristics of great leaders that he shares in his book, Management Waste.
